COLLECTIVE SOUL

Bought the Hints album after hearing 'Shine' on the radio, and have been a fan ever since.
Found out Ed had an
album, (pre-Collective Soul) Ed-e Roland, and to me, it's back to the roots, the beginning of a great career.

Collective Soul has been recording together since 1993 and have 7 studio released albums and the 8th,
self-titled, but known as "Rabbit" to be released, August 25, 2009.

My first Collective Soul 'headliner' concert, was in 1999, Dosage Tour in Detroit, MI. A great venue and awesome show, couldn't get enough and wanted more!!
It's a concert I still remember like yesterday.
Afterwards, hoped to catch a glimpse of the guys and stuck around for a bit. Didn't want to bother them, or seem like an obsessed fan. After a long night, they did take the time to sign autographs and take pics with every fan. With a full schedule, it must be tiring, putting on a smile, posing for pics and signing all the time. I'm sure there are nights they can't wait for quiet & some R&R.
Collective Soul's 'Alternative rock' music is some of the best you'll hear.
Each song is unique with a different sound and it's own meaning. I get right into the music of Collective Soul. Whatever the day, I'll listen to Collective Soul and forget everything at that moment. I either sing my heart out & dance (usually alone or at a show), or turn up the sound and listen to the great tunes!

I absolutely love Ed's voice, and the sound of Collective Soul.
These guys are truly talented. Ed Roland (vocals-guitar), Dean Roland (rhythm guitar), Will Turpin (bass guitar), Joel Kosche (lead guitar), Cheney Brannon (drums).
Hopefully there will be another opportunity to meet these guys again.
Although, I'd probably be so nervous I'd make a fool of myself.

I can't say it enough, but
THANK YOU Collective Soul for everything you do, for making and playing great music, for overcoming the rough times, for touring as much as you do and acknowledging and never forgetting your fans.
